Andrea Norby is a film and commercial editor based in Los Angeles. With an interest in a script’s deeper connection to culture and history, Andrea brings her knowledge as an editor, researcher, and visual effects compositor to help develop a work’s emotional and visual world. She has worked as an additional editor to directors Andrew Dominik, Sean Durkin, Kim Gehrig, Boots Riley, and Harmony Korine.
Andrea began editing in 2005 after receiving a camcorder she saw on a television commercial. She studied Film-TV-Digital Media and Writing at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas and worked as an assistant for Wild Bunch Distribution at Cannes Film Festival. She has worked on over 400 commercials, including with Wieden+Kennedy, Media Arts Lab, Droga5 and Google Creative Lab. See list of work here.
From 2020 to 2022, Andrea was an additional editor on Blonde, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. She worked on AGGRO DR1FT and Barrio Triste, both produced by Harmony Korine's EDGLRD and premiered at the Venice Film Festival. She was the additional editor on A24's The Iron Claw and has spent 2024-2025 working on I Love Boosters for Neon.
